Happy New Year blogueras! We’re already 3 days into 2013! Can you believe it? I can’t. I’ll be honest it’s moving way too fast for me already. I didn’t even get to make any blogger resolutions…did you?
Let’s write a few of them now…
Get Organized: I think this is one of my biggest downfalls. I’m not very organized. I don’t believe in editorial calendars. I write when I’m inspired and that’s something I’ll stick with. But, I do need to get my media kits in order, write all my events in a calendar, file the business cards I get at conferences, and clean out my inbox. These are just a few things that will make my blogging life a little bit easier.
Redesign My Blog: I’ve been on a mission to find a designer for my Curves and Chaos blog. It can’t be just anyone. It has to be someone I trust and who will have the patience to deal with me. I’m a little picky and I tend to change my mind a lot when it comes to design on my blog. It’s time to start researching! Have any recommendations?
Conferences?: I’m really reconsidering attending conferences this year. I normally attend a few, but I may have to choose a select amount that have more potential. After a while they all start to sound the same and offer the same panels, just because they put “blogger” in the title doesn’t mean it’s for me. I will attend those that are more beneficial. I will also make more of an attempt to attend actual networking events here in Los Angeles.
Live In Real Life: I won’t let my blogs consume me. I will live a life outside of blogging. There’s a way to live life and your passion at the same time. I will do just that.
Be Selective: I’m going to be a lot more selective when and if I work with brands. I love working with them, but I want to make sure it’s a campaign that reflects me and my blogs. Sure money is nice, but being authentic is worth a lot more to me.
These are only a few and I’m sure things will change a bit. But, I know I can do it! I can…right? LOL!

Thank you for this!! One HUGE goal of mine is to attend the BlogHer conference in Chicago this summer. It is my home town and I have a ton of babysitters there! jajaja! no excuses!
