Being a blogger has it’s perks, but it’s also a lot of work. Last month, was definite proof of that with all the traveling I did. After a whirlwind trip to New York City, I made my way out to Detroit for the 2013 Go Further with Ford Trend Conference. A big thank you to Ford for inviting me to attend this amazing conference as their guest again!
The Go Further with Ford Trend Conference is all about Ford’s advancements in the automotive and tech field. As well as their role in the community. I LOVE attending this event because not only do I learn a lot, but I get a hands-on experience unlike any other.
Due to an inconvenient traveling issue, I was super bummed to have missed the opening dinner at the Henry Ford Museum. Ugh! I know! But, I was on-hand for all of the panels that were scheduled the next day. My favorite had to be “Disrupting the Drive” with Molly Wood of CNET, Steve Wozniak the Co-Founder of Apple Computer, and Jim Buczkowski of Ford Motor Company. It was filled with info on the all the technology and innovation the future holds with their Ford EVOS Concept. Watch this video here to see what it’s all about! It’s amazing!
Of course, this would not be a Ford conference without actual test-driving of their vehicles. My favorite moment had to be driving the Ford Super Duty F150 filled with gardening supplies to a local Detroit park on behalf of Ford. Yvonne Condes of Mom’s L.A. and I delivered our items to The Greening of Detroit, a non-profit agency dedicated to sprucing up their city. Ford volunteers were working hard (see below) to enhance their park!
After, we headed to the Ford Track to test drive the new Ford Fiesta and the Ford Fusion! OK…Yvonne drove and I was her trusty passenger again. Then we headed into the headquarters, but couldn’t take any photos in there. Top secret stuff! LOL! Seriously, it was such an educational experience in so many ways! I’m super grateful and can’t wait to see what else Ford has up their sleeve in the future.
